Before you visit…

We operate on a 1 warning policy so please read the rules below.

Please do not feed the cats

We know it can be difficult but please do not feed the cats. Our babies have a carefully monitored diet to make sure they remain strong and healthy. Cats cannot properly digest human food and are very lactose intolerant.

Do not pick up the cats

You are more than welcome to stroke our cats but please do not pick them up. We see a lot of customers throughout the year and could you imagine being constantly picked up? On the contrary, if one of them chooses to climb on you then that is completely fine. As long as it is on their terms.

Don’t chase or overwhelm the cats

Our cats will give you obvious signs that they don’t want to be touched. If they pull away, walk off or swipe at you, that is a clear indication they want to be left alone. Please don’t continue trying to pet them or follow them around the cafe.

Your children are your responsibility

The cafe is not a playground and the cats are not toys. It is not up to the staff to look after your children. Our cats are our number one priority and if we find that your children are disrespecting them then your whole party will be asked to leave.

We understand that you may have animals at home but behaviour you deem acceptable for your own animals may not be acceptable for ours. An example would be teasing the cats, this may be okay with you at home but it is not tolerated at the cafe.

We have the right to refuse entry

The age limit and rules have been put in place to make sure that our cats live in a stress free environment. Nothing is more important to us than making sure they are happy and healthy. If we feel that your children are not of the right age or that you or your party are not following the rules, you will be asked to leave.

Don’t spray your clothes with cat nip

We see a lot of customers at the cafe and can see any behaviour in our cats that is out of the ordinary. Bringing cat nip or spraying yourself with it is not acceptable. It is unfair on our other customers who are abiding by the rules if all the cats are surrounding your table. You may be asked to leave if it is affecting other peoples experience at the cafe. This also includes cat treats, which are not to be fed to the cats.

Party balloons and flowers

We understand that some customers like to celebrate their special day with us at the cafe. If you let us know in advance we will set up your table with a birthday card and banners. Please do not bring balloons or flowers. If the balloons pop it can be extremely frightening for our fur babies. Certain plants can be extremely toxic to cats so we do not allow any foliage brought in by customers in the cafe.
